2022 Scotland-Ireland Vacation

  We have arrived at London Heathrow airport LHR at 11:15 AM local time on Saturday 6/18/22.  It is now 3:13 AM back in Los Angeles! So we had to go through London Heathrow airport security when we arrived. Since Mom and Bud had taken a different route, Audra and I had their carryon baggage to lighten their load.  Well, when we got to the screening area, we were told to remove certain liquids and medicines and place them into plastic bags. Well, that was awkward since Audra and I had NO IDEA what Mom and Bud had in their carry on bags! We did our best but it was not good enough. Bud's bag was stopped for extra screening and the security officials required me to throw away these two products from Bud's bag: Several of the kids also had to go through th eextra screening and their bags were opened and examined. Today the six of us are getting picked up in a 14 passenger shuttle van and headed to Los Angeles International Airport  (LAX). The shuttle will pick up Bud & Sandra at 11:00 AM at Hightop and then the shuttle will head to Pinelake for the six of us.  Just a few pieces of luggage for the journey - NOT including Bud & Sandy's stuff! After the shuttle has been loaded, we are off to LAX! Checking our bags at British Airways was a breeze and now we have a few hours to kill before we leave. Most of us had a snack before we boarded the plane.  I'm glad I did not have to sit next to Alex as he was eating truffle fries, super stinky! Some of us took a wee nap while we were waiting.  We finally board the plane. We were so blessed to sit in Business Class with Bud & Sandy! Our seats were amazing! The food was good too! Next stop: London! We will arrive Saturday June 18!
